Yep. If it was Pix at #12 or Rattler later, its Rattler. There's a little bit of a dilemma between Rattler where he was taken in roond 5, and Pix in round 4, where he should have gone. Id still go Rattler. He's not old and has more upside. Pix is almost at his ceiling now.

With a bullshit fake slide stunt that will probably lead to a little laundry later on in the year when some defender thinks he's gonna do that fake again and then drives a helmet through his chest.
The flag will be helpful. The concussion and bruised spleen he suffers probably won't be. Quarterbacks gain a lot of respect around the league when they do that stuff. I'm sure he won't hear anything about that sort of thing when a DE decides to smoke him off the edge. |

At least in college the faking a slide is a penalty as they don't want D players just lighting up people who give themselves up.

I think my favorite is a pre-season pass he threw to some scrub TE that Pioli had a hard-on for in a draft broadcast that the Cowboys cut. Fired an absolute missile and it had so much spin that when it nosed over, it changed direction in flight.
I'm pretty sure it was still his rookie year or maybe that 2nd season before he was fully unleashed. |

Gavin Escobar was the scrub that Pioli was fawning over. |

Why would you need to spend a 1st round pick on QB to achieve this?!

Just remember folks - Scott Pioli had Gavin Escobar as his top TE in that 2013 draft class.
There was a pretty decent one that ended up in KC from that class. Lord, the amount of damage that guy would've done had he stayed in charge here is just too much to comprehend. |
