****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

How bad is Cornell Powell to be buried on the Practice Squad behind this train wreck of a WR depth chart.

That was a perfect pass, no reason at all for MVS to lose his balance and break stride. If any NFL WR is going to drop that pass, the odds are it’s going to be MVS who does it.

We took that type of risk with Mahomes. Just have to give up a bit more than that.

The thought has been an unpleasant itch in the back of my mind for a few weeks now, but after this game I think I've might been swayed. Trading Tyreek Hill was a mistake.

Look at it this way, would you trade McDuffie, Moore, Kinnard, Chamarri Conner, a 2024 5th, MVS, and Jawaan Taylor for Hill? Because that's basically what we got with the draft picks and cap space.

Brett Veach is a good GM who is made to look like a great GM by the greatness of Patrick Mahomes.

He's really good at drafting certain position groups but he sucks at drafting Wide recievers.
Like Pickens was right there and he chose the hapless Skyy Moore .

And many of us were pleading with the man to get DeAndre Hopkins. Can you imagine this defense to go with a Mahomes, Hopkins and Kelce trident? We would have bodied the Eagles yesterday.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We’ve built a dominant team other than one position group. The defense in itself is legitimately tremendous. I hate our offseason WR decisions too but but it’s one mistake in an otherwise brilliant run

Its an obvious mistake when even the fans pointed it out before it occured. But a guy who gets paid millions of dollars can't figure it out?

WR is a position inundated with talent over the last 5 years. There's no reason why we should be in this position we're in now. It will cost us a Superbowl and waste our best defense in a long time.

Trust me, I’ve been about as vocal as anyone about wanting to upgrade WR since the offseason kicked off. I’ve been fighting CP left and right in this topic. It’s one mistake in an otherwise brilliant career and we still have a good chance of getting away with it. The guy winning 2 super bowls even post mahomes contract has earned him a lot of leeway to make mistakes. I get the frustration but we’re literally talking about a top 5 team in the nfl and 1-2 players away from being flat out dominant

I've never seen a group that just won't catch the ball.

They separated. They got open.

And then they just didn't catch the ball.

There was like...40 points just sitting there.

and they just literally let it slip through their hands.

We needed this loss. Better now than later. Andy will correct now that he knows just how bad it is.

Your starters need to be Rice and Hardman. Pains me but it is what it is

Cantling, Sky Less and Dropsan need to sit going forward

The part that concerns me more is that they are just bad at reacting to the ball in the air. It's fueling mahomes' trust issues. Even when a spot is open mahomes has no trust it'll get there. Mvs is notorious for this. And for Watson it's 75/25 he will make the right adjustment with a few drops sprinkled in. These guys aren't dumb but they all lack that instinct and feel for the position.

Yeah, at this point in the franchise it's easy to look past issues and not be terribly concerned until the games really matter, and you obviously don't expect to suddenly revert back to the Lions game.... and just like week 1, catch one freakin' ball and the other 47 drops suddenly don't matter as much.
