Just got to watch the fights last night.
Penn did not convince me that he is back. He got a good counter in which put Matty Christ's lights out. Penn has all the talent in the world but he beat an old Hughes with just the right shot. Not like it was a crushing blow or Penn had been dominating the fight for some time. I was shocked that Rampage won the fight. Shit, Rampage was in shock that Rampage won the fight. I had scored it 2 rounds to 1 to Machida. With the domination Machida showed in the final round, the judges would have been justified to call a 30-28 round. |

It's tough to win rounds on the cards when you are a counter striker and just stand and try to avoid punches to wait for your shot. Rogan was right in that it was Rampage pressing the action the first 2 rounds and 10-8 rounds are rarely seen. If you scored the fight as a whole Machida won, but scoring by rounds he didn't do anything in the first 2.

Question: why doesn't Jason "Mayhem" Miller do more UFC fights? He's 24-7 in his career and went down to a decision with George St. Pierre in his prime. He's only 29 but still, why isn't he going for the big bucks and fame.

He doesn't really like the UFC, they left on some weird terms, not horrible or anything but he's happy where he's at. He's signed in strikeforce for a few more fights but he will stay with them. He is essentially only with them so he can fight in Japan, he is a MEGASTAR there. Thats where he began his career and they love him. Watching a K-1, DREAM, Sengoku RC, Shooto, Pancrase, or ZST event is something you must experience, it is the most fun you'll ever have if you're in Japan. Thats why. He is already loaded, hes on Dr Drew every week, The Jason ellis show every monday, and he has his own TV show going into the 4th season, his assets are secure

He does the weekly sex talk with Dr. Drew, its pretty comical. I'll post the live feed in here next time I listen to it! Also if you're interested I'll shoot you a link to watch him fight whenever he does.
