Title - Top Gun: Maverick
Cruise also says his sequel to the 1986 film, expected to begin shooting next year, will have the same tone as the first, but will be “a progression for Maverick.” “It’s going to be a competition film like the first one, and it’s going to be in the same vein and the same tone as the first,” he says, with “the need for speed and big, fast machines.” |

“We’re gonna have the same tone that we had with the first one. Stylistically it’s gonna be the same. We’re gonna have the same score from Harold Faltermeyer. Aviators are back. The need for speed, we’re gonna have big machines. It’s gonna be a competition film like the first one, and it’s gonna be in the same vein, the same tone as the first one but a progression for Maverick.”
--- I wonder if they're going to re-purpose the score or hire Harold as the composer? |

JFC, Kelly even looks like her left eye went lazy...
Looking at other pics of her now, it looks like her left eye is always slightly more closed than her right. Weird. |

It's not that she couldn't act but that her looks were, at least IMO, well below average. It would have made more sense if the apple of Maverick's eye looked like Meg Ryan (or any number of hotties of the day) but Kelly? Nope. |

Tom Cruise became a Scientologist shortly after Top Gun was filmed. I think Top Gun 2 will result in his leaving it!

Cruise has said all along that he would refuse to do this sequel if they wanted to do the CGI route. I hope he sticks to that and we see more authentic dogfighting.
