I hope like hell some random stroke of luck lands us Jefferson for Sneed but I'm just trying to compute what incentive Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has to do it unless he really hates his job.
1) They might not get Kirk Cousins back in the door and now they are looking at having to move off of 12 to get a top QB if they want one in this year's class. 2) They are losing a guy that likely will end up a 1st ballot HoF player while gaining one that most likely will not come close. 3) The best they can gain in draft pick compensation is going to be late first-round selections. If you're giving up a HoF-caliber player, you probably want to get an actual haul, and do so from a team that at least may give you a middle-of-the-round pick. 4) The fan base should ****ing castrate you publicly for still having question marks in the secondary after you spent a 1st round pick on Lewis Cine at SS, an early 2nd on Andrew Booth at CB, and a 4th on Akayleb Evans at CB in 2022, a 3rd rounder on Mekhi Blackmon at CB and 4th rounder on Jay Ward at FS in 2023, and spent FA capital to bring in Byron Murphy at CB last year, much less if you make this move. 5) Meanwhile the guy hasn't exactly helped put them in a better cap situation, which is supposed to be his forte, and they now have to replace 80% of their front 7. The guy's ticket is already punched if he doesn't ****ing nail this draft. He shouldn't likely dump rocket fuel on the embers. I tell ya what, if the guy is this dumb, I'll send him my 1st and 2nd this year, my 1st and 2nd next year, Sneed, Toney, and a box of chocolates for Darrisaw and Jefferson. I'll even give him a Christmas card with a scratch-off in it come December. |

Why the **** WOULDN'T you? They're in completely different tiers as assets. Sneed MIGHT get a first and that's if there's a competitive bidding war. Jefferson is getting 2 firsts and probably more.

yes, if you can make it work under the cap. an elite WR is more valuable than an elite CB.

I just don't think Minnesota would go for a straight up trade. Surely they'd want a little extra?
