Look at first rounders that are somewhat floundering and need a change of scenery.

2. Are other teams just stupid or is Bret Veach just the puppet master of all things?

3. Are they collecting draft pics for the future (that rarely work out)
Tennessee doesn't really care because they know their season is over. May as well pack it up and get whatever value you can. Unless they had a personal vendetta against the Chiefs or wanted to blue ball them from the three-peat this year, there's no reason not to deal with them if you think you can get some value out of an aging player.

Sending your player to the best team in the league sends a good message to players and helps you in FA. "Hey if it doesn't work out here we'll do good by you, for example we sent DeAndre Hopkins to the defending SB champions not some shithole"

When the Chiefs start 6-0 the poverty franchises can see the writing on the wall. Better luck in 2025

We're talking about 1-5/1-6 teams and those wins have only come against other 1 win teams or Tyler Huntley... it would be ****ing delusional to think about .500, much less making the playoffs for the chance to get curbstomped by 40.

There's just no point in doing anything besides hoping for a high draft pick and selling off any sunk costs that won't be back next year.
