The Chiefs play in Denver in December. I may actually look into getting tickets, because I suspect they're going to be really cheap.

But the massive hype machine is weird. Broncos fans are acting like he’s the next star QB lighting up the league.
He'll be better than Osweiler, Lynch, and maybe Bridgewater and Siemian. Or at least not worse. Man when you throw the absurd extension they gave Mr. Unlimited on top of that crap heap of names, you really see the magnitude of how big of a disaster the QB spot has been for the Donks for almost the last decade. That would give any fan PTSD. No wonder they're breaking their ankles rushing to anoint a new savior.

Your point seems to be that playing well in a preseason game is a negative sign.

The thing is, very good players play well in preseason games. In addition, some players play well in preseason games and turn out not to be very good.

What we know now of that Nix played well in preseason games.

Nix did about as well as he could in the game today. That doesn’t prove he’s a good NFL QB. But it surely isn’t evidence he’s bad.
No it doesn't. It just cautions people, especially desperate fools like yourself, not to make too much out of a preseason.

I could also post articles about people saying Mahomes was very good in camp and preseason.

It’s really a pretty weak line of evidence.

Again, you're too stupid to understand. I've been very clear.

Please stick around this year, instead of bailing. And you may just figure it out...

Do it. Maybe you'll figure out the difference...
It's not evidence. Its common sense, which you seem to lack.

Which do think is more likely true?

Nix playing well in preseason suggests he’s good.

Nix playing well in preseason suggests he’s bad.

Or are you like these other halfwits who are just going to say he’s been awful?

With few exceptions, conversations on this board about any team other than the Chiefs (and especially the Broncos) involve entering the Circle of Stupid. It's disappointing, because there are some otherwise intelligent, fairly clever posters here (TEX isn't necessarily one of those, nor is Pasta).

As you mentioned a little while ago, they are generally incapable of acknowledging an opposing player or team might actually be good. And don't even try to explain the concept of nuance with them. Success in seasons outside of the ones where the Chiefs have ended up the final winner only happened because of cheating, or the league predetermining the outcome, or the entire league taking a year off, or the unfairness of playing at altitude, or whatever. Why are they like this? My theory is that it takes a few generations to outgrow inferiority complexes when they get so deeply ingrained.

It's not supportive at all, dipshit. If Kenny Pickett can look the same way Nix looked, also being a physically limited QB like Nix, then guess what it supports? Nothing. It means he can look good against second stringers in an environment totally unlike what he was used to in college or what is to come in his first regular season.

Congratulations, I guess?

Your Donk fan brethren were all jacking off to Mahomes and his INTs in his first training camp when he became the starter.

Honestly, we weren't. We truly didn't care. You won't believe that. But to the best of my recollection, it's completely true. We weren't hoping against hope that he wouldn't be great. The possibility of him being great never crossed our minds.

Even now, you guys are absolutely fantasizing about how most of us perceive Bo Nix. Most of us are cautiously optimistic, at best. National guys have hyped him more than typical Broncos fans have. My feeling since literally the day of the draft has been that I support the pick because I sincerely believe that Sean Payton loves the pick. And his loving the pick makes it far more likely that he is going to approach the situation in a way that is conducive to helping him develop.

But you guys get a narrative in your heads, and you absolutely won't back away from it. "THEYRE DELUSHINAL ABOUT HIM!!1!!1" Now, in this exchange with manchambo, he is literally not saying the things you are telling him he has said - not things from previous conversations, mind you - these are things in this conversation.

And in the future, there will be this exchange:

"Remember that time when you said Bo Nix would be in the Hall of Fame because he had a good stat line in those preseason games!"

"Uh, no, I never said anything like that."

"HUH-UH, YOU DUMMY! WE ALL WITNESSED IT! O'DOYLE RULEZ!"

It's the Circle of Stupid.
