“Why not give it one last shot”. Uh he did. For 4 years. It’s not his fault his franchise broke him by making terrible management decisions. Wanna get mad? Get mad at the GM they had who drafted 3 OL before last season. Andrew Luck put his body and time into lifting that shit franchise into the playoffs carrying a terrible roster. The least they could have done was protect him before it was too late. This is the Colts fault. They ruined their investment |

Also, Chris Ballard has gotten his dick sucked hard by the media since taking that Colts job. Yeah, he’s drafted some good players, but now is when he’ll be truly judged as a GM. What does he do without a definite franchise QB on the team? How does he respond to that? Does he do an okay job finding suitable starters like Rick Spielman in Minnesota or does he **** it all up like Elway has done multiple times?

Jaguars Long Snapper Matt Overton Offers To Buy Season Tickets Off Angry Colts Fans & Donate Them
Colts fans don’t have the best name right now and part of that falls on the fans demanding refunds for their season ticket purchases after Andrew Luck announced his retirement on Saturday. Though the team has made no decision yet on if they will grant fans refunds, Matt Overton, a member of a division foe, has a fantastic idea. The Jacksonville Jaguars long snapper has offered to buy the season tickets off angered fans and donate them to kids and families under the care of Riley Children’s Health, a comprehensive care system and hospital in Indianapolis. Overton played for the Colts from 2012-2016.

I suppose my favorite gladiator weapon was the Fascina and my least favorite was the Caestus with attached spikes.
Nothing is more enjoyable than watching a captured Norwegian get splayed by a properly-deployed Fascina while he's lying in a pool of sweat, sand, and blood. FAX |

As a STH who doesn't go to those games anymore for precisely this reason, I can tell you that the majority of people at that game were people who were able to get the tickets for $5 on stubhub and then proceeded to get hammered. The crowd at a pre-season game is most assuredly not 'die-hards' - those guys know they have a loooooong season ahead of them at that stadium and aren't too worried about missing a pre-season game. No, most of those guys are one-offs who can't generally afford to go and are there for the spectacle more than anything. And on a Saturday I'm betting they were good and lubed up. Oh wait, I just re-read it. It was Florio so of course it was reeruned bullshit. |

Gronk and luck looked totally mentally checked out at 30. Eric berry looks cooked. And yet the NFL wants more games. And wants to keep Thursday night football. Goodell is sprinting to run this league into the ground.

The game is getting more and more physical taxing as players get bigger and stronger, and equipment gets lighter so players can play faster. Thats the natural injury stuff Goodell cant avoid. Thursday night football is a horrendous idea for player safety. That the league is very seriously entertaining more games shows they don't give a shit about the injury risk that comes with longer seasons. they also are pushing a zero tolerance very punitive rule on Marijuana while pumping these players with truckloads of painkillers. Other leagues have drastically changed their drug policy to reflect that. That is 1000% on the league and shows both cluelessness and how little they care about player safety if it gets in the way of making an extra buck. The only damn reason the NFL even tried to do anything about player safety is because they wanted pr damage control.
