Why do people care so much if he was booed or not...like it is some national crisis drunk sports fans were upset that their best player was quitting. Who cares
Hes free to retire. Fans are free to boo. They bought their ticket. They can voice their concern or lqck therof as they see fit |

No? Seems like a reasonable description. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladiator

Oh and the notice thing isn't really true for senior positions either, a lot of people get put on gardening leave and are immediately sent home the day they hand in their notice. Last edited by Chargem; 08-27-2019 at 01:10 AM.. |

I'm not going back through the thread to see if this has already been discussed, but I would have thought it was far more likely the Colts knew Luck was retiring but were asking him to delay the announcement so they could get more season tickets sold.

I have no problem that he decided to retire but doing it two-weeks before the start of the season is pretty selfish. Why not give it one last shot for your teammates and fans since they all expect you out there and for you to be the leader of rbe team? Colts invested a lot of time and money into Luck. Tne least he could do is not abrutly retire right before the start of the season.

I think he made the right decision for himself, which is all any of us can do. I wish him the best of luck. He’ll be successful at whatever he decides to do. I hope the Colts bring him back someday so the fans can give him the send off he deserves. Maybe when he goes in the ring of honor. |

There’s no reason not to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, just as you (and I) regularly did with Eric Berry. I don’t regret that either. |
