I hate putting in a stop loss because you can get screwed by volatility. I feel like OGI has a little more life left.

You could sell half to guarantee you don't lose money. I'm holding for a while, maybe sell next week.

I can't answer that. Not sure about Reddit and you never know when the brokerage will halt trading.

It's not about investing, but on a personal finance note my household expenses were down 13 percent in 2020 compared to 2019. That was a notable win. Ddes anyone else track this for their household?

I used to be a ****ing nazi about it.

Then, I calculated a return on that time..... And stopped altogether.

It's actually quite easy for me to sum up annual spending these days. I just go into my bank and sum up all of the expenditures for e-checks and then add a handful of ATM withdrawals for cash. I pay all of my bills that way and that includes the credit card bills.

That's not looking at expenditures by category, just the total. But since we now have a ton of generic "amazon" expenditures that I can't classify, it's fruitless to even try to categorize stuff.

Oh no. Nazi Buehler445 would classify every dollar. You go to Amazon and Your Orders and tie them out to your credit card statements.

Back when I had more time than money I'd do all that and have contingency plans for where to cut if shit happened.

But now if I'm doing that shit, I'm forgoing stuff that makes money. So now time that is not achieving a return I'm doing shit that provides me non-economic utility, like talking about being an expense nazi on CP.

FWIW all my personal dollars are recorded in Quickbooks for the various tax form preparation. Most of it goes into personal expense, but the cashflows that affect taxes are recorded accurately. It would be fairly easy to run a cash flow statement and track it.

Sidenote: I'm still a nazi with the corporate expense tracking, as well I should be.
