If they don't cut Russ after this season they are stuck with worse cap issue. He's gotta go now or stay for two more years. I think he's gone and they go after Browing who will be an FA.

Baker Mayfield. They're gonna go after Baker. Sean Payton loved that guy when he was a draft prospect, he's 7 years younger than Russ and he's also worn cost anywhere near as much.

Courtland Sutton has made Russ look so much better than what he really is by making a handful of really tough catches from yolo balls.

But yeah I can't in any way see them guaranteeing $37 million to Russ's 2025 year salary by keeping him on the roster this Spring.

Yea, Sutton and Mike Evans are totally the same player.

Never said that. Sutton has made some excellent catches from yolo balls though. Big reason why Russ has looked as good as he has. I wish our WR's made these types of catches.

I was wondering if Payton/DEN would try to get Baker in 2024. Much better fit for Sean's offense.

Even Mahomes (who I totally covet) has looked mortal without the same level of talent around him that he's used to.

Is Caleb Williams going to be that guy? Drake Maye? It's a crapshoot.
It is all a crap shoot, no doubt. But Purdy is a very bad example as he is the exception vs the norm. Luck would have done more if he actually had a competent GM that actually addressed the Oline vs letting him get pummeled game in and game out year after year. What is known though is that Russ isn’t going to improve much if at all. He’s much older and should start declining (unless he takes the Bonds/Peyton Manning route) much more each year. Your team is winning, but the victories are Phyrric. Welcome to the world KC lived in for so long.
