Child dies at Schlitterbahn in KCK
This is horrifying. Supposed to be a press conference soon with more details. Rumors seem to indicate it happened on the Verrukt, the world's tallest waterslide.

I wondered if the Hunt family was still involved with the park. They aren't. It was sold to Cedar Fair in 1995 for $40 M. This is the same company that owns and operates the mega coaster park, Cedar Point, up near Cleveland, Ohio. |

Of all the shitty stuff we deal with as humans, the loss of a young child may be the worst.

That's a sizable pool at WoF it wouldn't be to difficult with all the people and floaty things in it for a small child to drown IMO. Just takes seconds to do, I've had my older brothers hold my head under the water a few times when we we're kids. It was a part of growing up at least in my house.
RIP to the small child regardless. |

This happened during the Independence Day weekend and still not much info on it. I bet it was one crowded pool though.

Yeah, I remember the Orient being pretty damn smooth. The Timberwolf beat the hell out of you though. Once was enough for me as well.

Timberwolf was a rough ride. Hated it. The Zambezi Zinger was the smoothest ride of any roller coaster I’ve ever been on. Loved that coaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Word is out that a Margaritaville or Jimmy Buffett type casino is going to go in on that area. As well as some youth baseball fields. Circa 2025
