Haven't seen a post in a long while. I'm not missing his negativism at all. I'm just curious.

It's not about 1 game. Or even a 5 game hot streak. How can people not understand this? It's about playing well consistently. It's about his groundhog testicles that sometimes come out to play but sometimes run from their shadow.

The Chiefs could win the Superbowl this year and Smith could be completely pedestrian in the process. Smith could put the team on his back all the way to the Lombardi, and I would still want to see how he plays next year before calling him great.

Playing great sometimes doesn't mean he not mediocre.

I was, and congrats on the continued wedded bliss with Jenn-ah. What I wasn't positive about was how Clay would rib the girls from CP back in the day - Jenny, Red, Lumpy, on and on....

Honeymoon period. He won't be able keep up the act forever. My money says he's banned before the end of next season.

if thats the case then he's been pretty consistent in not being Cassel bad and also giving the chiefs a good chance at winning every week.. considering the win streak.. and helping the team not pick top 5 since he's been the QB.. it's not about being consistent for certain posters.. it's about being Rodgers/Brees/Brady level.

Thanks man. There are so many good people here, we are just in an intense period in our personal lives so it's hard to spend much time here. Between kids, careers, elderly parents and civic work we don't even have enough time for ourselves.
