Not saying that it would be anywhere near the number of deaths from COVID-19, but suicides would skyrocket. I'm a pretty optimistic guy, and even I've had to take specific steps to try not to go insane this week. A year of this would be brutal.

As a random thought, consider these three things:
1. Amazon is hiring 100,000 people. 2. The feds are talking about giving people a payment to handle basic expenses. 3. Potential lockdown. Any chance that a deal has been made and everyone gets their payments as Amazon credit for home delivery? |

Actually, now that I think about it, we do a month to month lease. I could just terminate the lease with 30 days notice. It's not an eviction.

Imagine how much fun it's going to be during a summer heat wave with a lot of people living in tiny apartments with no working air conditioning.

I would only do that if a tenant was screwing me over. It's kind of hypothetical since my tenant is really nice, but it just made me wonder about it. Why wouldn't every renter in America stop paying rent in such a situation?

There it is:
The State Department is preparing to raise its travel advisory worldwide to Level 4: Do Not Travel – the highest level — in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. Four sources told CNN that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had approved a Level 4 advisory. Late last Wednesday, the advisory was raised globally to Level 3: Reconsider Travel “due to the global impact of COVID-19.” Politico was the first to report the heightened advisory level. CNN has reached out to the State Department for comment. Another source told CNN that the move would be aimed at curtailing Americans’ travel abroad and to get those who are traveling to come home. |
