I'm totally cool with Ridley, caveat being his market isn't quite what's expected. He doesn't have the typical wear of a WR that old.
Five years of NFL wear on his body. For comparison, Mike Evans is one year older and has TEN. |

Not saying there's a massive flaw to that reasoning, however, let's also remember that the MIA/BUF defenses were crippled by injuries by the time we faced them in the playoffs, and both of those defenses effectively stuffed the KC offense earlier in the season when they both were healthier. And that SF defense was supposed to be no better than the BUF defense we faced just a couple weeks earlier (or so I was told multiple times), and yet somehow that shitty defense held our offense to just 19 points in 4 quarters of play, no TDs in the first 10 drives (just 3 FGs). And 7 points of that 19 was accidental. Not saying anyone has to panic, but let's not repeat the mistakes of last season, and end up with the same shitty offensive production we had all season. No need to chase a top-10 WR, but also absolutely no need to short-change ourselves with another $10 million/yr dog-shit WR like MVS. Get an actual veteran upgrade, that Rice could actually learn from and improve his craft (instead of trying to pick MVS' brain which should scare the hell out of any Chiefs fan), as well as provide enough production to make the offense more than just barely functional. Spotrac puts his Market Value at 17 million per season. Man, if you can get him for just a bit less that might actually be a steal.

I don't understand why people think Jax would let him walk.

Yeah, I'm still wanting to draft a WR R1 at the very least. It's still the hole that needs filling, at least until we know Jones is gone.
