If we get Preston back, once we can jell, this is easily a national championship team. Even as is, without De Sousa we could still win the national championship. I'm less concerned about the national title, because that requires luck and match ups. I'm more concerned about the Big 12 streak and getting a high seed.

Why are we assuming Preston is coming back? Self has been saying exactly the same thing about him (which amounts to pretty much nothing) for about two months now.

It's still very soft but there isn't exactly an elite team out there in the B12 that is clearly better. Several strong ones, though.

He's coming back. I believe 90%. I think I've just learned how Selflingo works. Seems to be something there lately. He used to use the word "eventually" things like that, then "soon" and "hopeful" and lately it's more like "very close" and "optimistic".

I just think KU is "self imposing" a first semester suspension on him is what I think is happening. And dragging your feet like this is just a way of not throwing the kid under the bus to the media. I'm quite confident he plays by at least late January.

It is being officially investigated. Presumably, at some point there will be an official decision. I know these things can drag on, but if there was a clear violation that made him ineligible for the entire season, there might have been a decision by now.

I'm not assuming he is coming back. But given the no official news, I'm cautiously hopeful that at some point there will be an official decision that his current punishment of games already suspended will be sufficient for whatever violation may have occurred.

Regardless of the ultimate decision, this has taken entirely too long. A decision should’ve been reached by now.
