*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****
IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

Improving like that on a well covered play is the type of play that punches a defense right in the willpower.
I want to see moar. |

In those situations Alex just takes off running a lot of the time. Paxton Lynch did the same thing the night before. I love that Pat's eyes are always downfield looking to make the throw. |

I am beyond tired of morons using the excuse about Mahomes playing against '3rd stringers' (which isn't entirely true anyway, as some starters were in at one point for SF).
If you use that as an excuse, I can only assume you want Mahomes to fail. Because it simply isn't a valid reason to criticize the performance. Did you watch our OL? Did you know half of the guys running routes for him? THEY WERE ALL BACKUPS TOO. Enough with that nonsense. |

His O-line was anemic, running game was non existent, Andy called 4 screens, and penalties stole 2 big first downs from him. He still came out 7/9 with a touchdown. |

I don't blame Andy for calling those screens. He saw what was happening up front and probably feared getting Mahomes killed. That was good coaching.

We just need to stay calm and understand it's all part of the package. He will make far more great plays than mistakes. |

Yep. Even the NFL Network shot showed this. Yes it was Farvian in the aspect of improvising keeping the play alive and throwing across his body but the part I liked was his confidence to throw the pass with "touch" knowing he could pull it off. Nothing like having a pair of brass balls and swinging them.

the dieter one was bad, but at least he didnt put it where the defense could make a play on it. The endzone shot to escobar is a touchdown if escobar gets his hands up there. I wouldnt call that a bad throw. He threw it outside of coverage, where his guy could have got it. best case scenario its a TD, worst case is a incompletion.
