*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

it's ok. The rules are set. No one can give any honest criticism for Mahomes. Any criticism will be met with agenda accusations, and general hate.

So it goes from "all Alexsexuals and Mahomos"...

You aren't being honest.

when i get home i will figure out how to post video and show you that he didn't throw that ball over three guys. There was no one directly between them.

It looked like it because of the camera angle, not from mahomes view point.

And the kid gets no credit for directing the wr there in the middle of the play?

Your criticism is disingenuous.

I also "nitpicked" Alex's underthrown pass to TE2 on that TD drive.

Guess I have an agenda against him as well...

post that up here man.

Everybody is shitting on that play for some reason.

"If this guy was here bla bla bla interception"
"you cant make that throw with first team ::word vomit::"

Fact of the matter is, he makes these throws. He has for years at Tech. The touchdown play was him showing exactly why they drafted the kid. Improv, and being able to put the ball where only his guy could get it after the play broke down.

I cant believe others on this board didnt like that play.

He looked like he belonged on the field. He commanded the offense.

That's a good start for the rookie.

I kinda liked what I saw from Mahomes. You didn't get to see him do much because of all the screens, but he didn't look overwhelmed or anything.

His style of play could lead to him being banged up a lot, but he should be fun to watch.

The thing about that play that impressed me is that he threw a floater.

A lot of young, strong armed QBs try to throw that pass with zip, when a touch pass like that floater is what is needed.

That a glimpse of his football IQ.

Playmaking quarterbacks ALL make risky throws. If people can't accept that, then they truly don't have the balls to enjoy chasing championships.

Yep, Vick didnt throw with that kind of touch as a rookie. It was nice.

Yep but, the ones that win championships don't turn it over much. Most importantly they finish game winning drives and execute fourth quarter comebacks. A lot of games come down to end in the NFL. That's the key. Mahommes has a lot to prove before we can even talk about chasing championships.
