They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Watson is a useful option. I still don't love the boom/bustness of mvs. But overall it feels like these guys are interchangeable. Not guys you put on the field at the same time.

If skyy ain't it then we gotta find a more consistent option. For whatever reason that hasn't been toney

I still want to know what’s going on with Toney. Is it maybe because he’s still not over the hammy issue? I mean 7 snaps today from a guy they supposedly thought could be a legit #1 receiver, I just don’t get it. We should be able to find some use for him.

They're saving him for the playoffs, a la Josh Gordon in 2021.

Rice caught two balls for 17 whole yards.

MVS caught two balls for 22 yards, and Justin caught a pair for 15 yards.

And that's the plan?

Whoo-hoo.

Rice got one of the TD's though and looked very good doing it! So there's that.

But yeah, we're in big trouble with our WR's if one doesn't emerge as a go-yo guy. Deal is, with our "D" balling out, our WR's dont need to be all world. Just need one to be as good as JuJu was.

So Rice only 2 targets

Both went for 17 yards and 1 TD?

Why aren’t we doing more with him?

Veach got this team out of cap hell and will not let it happen on his watch. He's playing the long game as some have pointed out on here that way the Chiefs will continually be contenders for the Super Bowl. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride!!!

Just for the record, I've never, ever said that we need an all-world WR this season. I've ALWAYS said we need one to be better than JuJu, and the others have to perform at the same level as they did last season.

Except that now, they're all underperforming, except Rice and Justin. And in spite of Watson getting increased target share, he's basically stuck at catching two balls per contest.

My point, as always, is that the margin for error is razor thin.

I hope you're right, and all we need is for Rice to expand his role a little and that somehow that'll be enough to support the rest of these shitty WRs.

Rice had 2 receptions and a touchdown on 2 total targets.

I'm not a rocket surgeon or anything, but maybe throw a couple more his way every now-and-then?

The Texans might have a worse WR room than we do and nobody near the caliber of Kelce at TE. CJ Stroud is out producing Mahomes by almost every available metric. This is FAR deeper than just a lack of talent at WR

Naw, the Texans WR are good. Collins and rookie Tank Dell get open. Today Brown stepped up. Dont over think it. KC's WR room is the problem.

If the chiefs had Collins and Dell they would be curb stomping teams

There is a very real possibility that Kelce is as important as Mahomes is. If that ends up being the case we need an elite WR or TE to replace him, and soon. At least by 2025.

Yeah, saw a bit of the HOU game last week or the one before that. Tank Dell is a decent WR.
