I really don’t get why Sowers deserved an NFL gig.

She played in the woman’s league. If you played men’s high school varsity ball, you played at a much higher level than her. A boy’s varsity team would dominate any woman’s league.

Her first job was an NFL job with the Falcons, so it’s not like she had some long coaching career before that. She didn’t work her way up through high school, college, etc.

I think her role has been misrepresented as well. She likely isn’t doing any real coaching. Just assisting the actual coaches.
