Not to mention that Burrow was a #1 overall pick and Mahomes landed on a team already in the playoffs.
He played 1 game his rookie year. With a bunch of scrubs, and still won!

Mahomes has never had a losing record in any of the seasons he was a starting QB... even his rookie year when he went 1-0 as a starter.

Burrow was 2-7-1 in his rookie season as a starting QB.

Advantage Mahomes... again.

Wait. You mean Burrow was able to complete passes even after being sacked, while not throwing the ball to the other team, in order to keep his team able to score MOAR points and win the game?

Blasphemy.

Before the run started, I would have expected ~.500 in AFCCGs and ~.500 in Super Bowls if they were a truly legitimate contender... so, to be 2-2 and 1-1, it's fine.

If Mahomes was completely healthy right now... then yeah, 2-3 and two consecutive losses to the Bengals would sting. And even if they lose this weekend and Mahomes is hobbling around, yeah I guess we could longingly look back at Dee Ford or last year's 2nd half/OT debacle.

Not really going to blame them for losing to the Bradys in their first AFCCG in 30 years though, or assuming Mahomes isn't 100% this weekend.... it's just football, it's difficult.

They've reached the peak... they'll probably do it again, hopefully multiple more times in the next 10-15+ years.

Trying to count a year in which Mahomes didn't play, while trying to remove a year in which Burrow DID play, is the type of shit i'd expect a pre-teen to do. WTF is that?

No one is ever gonna take you seriously saying dumb shit like that.
Burrow starting. 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.
Mahomes starting. 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.

You do the math. I'll give you a hint. The difference isn't 1 year.

You forgetting Burrow's INT that set up Tennessee's game tying TD late in the third quarter of that game?

Good thing Tannehill threw a second INT late in that game to bail out Burrow and Cincy's non-existent offense.

I really don't get the Burrow head shit. He won here once. I could maybe understand if that had happened several times. That was just...... Dumb.

I don't agree that Cincy "shut down Mahomes" in the 2nd half of the most recent game. He put 2 strong TD drives on you in the 3rd quarter. He was driving for more points in the 4th quarter when Kelce fumbled and Butker missed a Field Goal. Not like you forced 3 and out punts in the 2nd half of that game. I have a ton of respect for the Bengals defense, but you weren't far off from giving up 20+ points on 4 drives in that half of football. As it stands, 14 points in 4 drives with a missed field goal is not "shutting down" anyone.
Burrow is definitely fortunate to have the defense he does. I'd like to think he would be able to overcome a lesser defense, having to pass more, but that won't play out until/if they lose some guys on D and have to replace them, possibly getting lesser guys. The 2020 defense wasn't close to what they are now and he was able to put up numbers with lesser weapons than he has now.

True, Mahomes played a better 2nd half in Cincy this year. Going into this game, i think it's more likely that you see both teams playing well throughout and it could come down to who is able to have their hands on the ball as the clock winds down to zero.

Considering the Bengals history and my length of being a fan, i doubt i'll have too many complaints if, regarding the SB record they have at least a 1 in there on the left side.
