The list of 85 by Roastmaster Saul Good. And hey, it's actually saul good.

As a spinoff to the successful NFL Network's version of this and from the drama thread, it has come to fruition that this thread must be created.

Each day Hootie will reveal a member starting with 101 and working his way in order to number 1. I will update the OP as I see the names revealed.

*Warning this thread may cause a severe case of butthurt*

Let it begin!!

As I've said, there are some that are worth watching (and a handful of really, really good ones), especially with the upgraded special effects. You can stream all of them on Netflix.

Seriously, watch The Doomsday Machine.

That seems like a really good reason, though perhaps one would just use spars instead of wings if that's the only reason. A few other reasons I can think of for wings might be:

1. Maneuvering in atmosphere, as donger suggested.
2. Keeping radioactive or toxic weapons as far as possible from the pilot (though this would likely be spars as well).
3. The wings contain energy collectors for solar power or solar wind or some sort of intergalactic energy, which looks to be the case for most of the Empire ships, but not the rebel ships. However, this could be explained by the possibility that the Empire ships are true space ships and newer while the rebels ships have to serve both space and atmospheric purposes and are older.
4. It's unlikely but possible that they could be for cooling, depending on the power plant.
5. They may exist as wings and not spars because the pilot needs a place to climb up into the cockpit. Probably would have a ladder instead.
6. They could be for stability because if you're in space and do a barrel roll while moving over long distance it could have a gyroscopic effect due to a greater moment and keep you on the proper route more easily. Or similarly, it preserves momentum in rolling maneuvers.

Most likely, some prop designer just thought it looked cool, though.

Wings produce lift. If they don't produce lift, they aren't wings.

Hard to believe that just four years ago the seats were half-empty and nobody gave a shit.

Nothing succeeds like success.

The hockey equivalent of David Glass dying helped a lot... it would be strange to be the son and basically have fans walk up to you and say everything except "thanks for not being your dad" (and some probably do say it).

I may have told you this story when you were up last time, but the day after Dollar Bill died I was at my office and a couple of the senior partners were talking about it. I was just about to chime in with "Hey, now that the cheapass prick is dead maybe they'll finally get better" or something to that effect, but some 6th sense set off my danger shut up alarm, so I kept quiet. Sure enough, a few seconds later they were talking about which one was going to drive to Wirtz's funeral - they both knew him personally. Dodged a nearly self-inflicted bullet there.

I was hoping for a similar turnaround when Lamar kicked off, but sadly things only got worse.

Believe me, I don't always have it.
