Now our local newscast says June was the warmest in history. The globe temp went up 2.7%, the target for the Paris agreement. And Las Vegas reached 120 degrees, the highest recorded temp. 117 was the previous.

Thanks, yeah it is beautiful country for sure. This is number 4 in our life of major storm damage and it is no less depressing that any other time.

Seeing all you stuff destroyed or damaged sucks and the thought of having to deal with the ordeal of getting all the repairs done is not much fun either.

Had a guy down today from the rehab company the insurance company had referred, he was great. Even put some duct tape on the holes in the skylights of my boathouse for me.

So sorry Grasshopper. Always keep a 750ml bottle of 'bottom shelf' bourbon (brown vodka) like Ten High for just such an occasion. Confucius say "Skunk hooch beats no hooch with a tornado bearing down on yo' skunk ass, dude". Confucius kind of an A--hole.

It's amazing what Confucius knew. I'm sure he never saw a tornado.

I'm starting to understand why retired folks with the means live in Arizona in the winter (sorry for the Snowbirds, Bearcat and the other AZ folks, lol) and then the upper midwest/New England areas in summer.

Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy about the weather?? Lol
I got to think 115 in Vegas is still dryer and better than 111 in Sacramento.

Not that either is a picnic in the park.

Not to mention Redding or Palm Springs.
