Sooooo....any long term concern with Porter's injury? And what is his injury exactly? I keep seeing left leg, hip and/or back. Which is it? The secrecy and lack of detail kinda concerns me...

Any truth to the TigerBoard (I know I know) rumors that MPJ might be dealing with a sciatic nerve issue and could be out until January?
Duncan? Anyone? Lol |

That would depend on the nature of the injury that is causing the sciatica. If it is just inflammation around the nerve from a muscle strain or subluxation, anti-inflammatories and rest would take care of it. If it is due to a herniated disc, he'd need a cortisone shot and rehab at the very least.

Wow. Every year Rusty says ISU will win the conference, get a 1 or 2 seed. So if Rusty thinks ISU will be as bad as a bubble team, they probably are only good for like 9 wins this year.

They'd still beat any team coached by Kim Anderson.
And that includes a game where Kim Anderson is allowed to coach the Golden State Warriors for a day. I was openly rooting for Kansas when they played Pitt State. I was disappointed that Pitt broke 50 and KU didn't quite manage to double them up. **** you, Kermit. |

Even the possibility of a bright period makes Mizzou fans reflexively rail against it. Poor ol' Gabe doesn't know what to do with himself when a team that loses its best player sets about mauling a Power 5 school and then waxes the kind of weak opponent that the old regime beats by 4 or even loses to. So what's he do? Gets together with Pete Scantlebury and they generate a controversy in the post-game presser. Look - the kid may be injured. Shit happens; there's nothing that Cuonzo or Gabe or Sterk or even Jesus himself - the righteous one, Bill Self - can do about it. The fanbase's refusal to enjoy ANYTHING has gone from macabre to hilarious at this point. Chris alive - the team is relevant again even without MPJ. If the dude never plays a minute this team will still go out there and give all but maybe the top 2 teams in the SEC a real fight. They'll go out and play their asses off, win quite a few games and generally be good kids to root for (seriously, how can anyone not love Kevin Puryear right now?). Settle down, Mizzoufan; things will be what they are. |
