Apparently Jordan Love sucks balls

With no preseason, I was missing my overreaction threads, and it's hard to get riled up about your team when they're the defending Super Bowl champions. So here ya go. From The Athletic's Matt Schneidman:

Quote:
He hasn’t fallen down the quarterback depth chart – he was already at the bottom of it – but Love has yet to even provide a glimpse at why the Packers traded up to draft him in the first round. Nobody expected him to take the world by storm in his first nine practices, but every throw he makes seems like a touch pass and he’s had some accuracy issues early on.
La Fleur is saying a lot of, "He needs time," "It's been a rough offseason," "He'll get there eventually," etc. type stuff.

I have nothing against Love or the Packers, but it WOULD be an exciting tire fire to watch if Love had to step in to game action this season and ended up looking way more like Mitch Trubsiky than Patrick Mahomes.

I like the Love pick. Their 2nd rounder was puzzling but that was the Packers trying to copy Tennessee.

I don't fault them for trying to plan ahead and find their QbotF but I wasn't a big fan of them trading up for a QB that raw, when you could've stayed put and drafted some help for your still very capable QB who got you within a game of the Super Bowl the previous year. I thought the approach should've been to go all in this season with Rodgers, and add some weapons to help him out this season. But it looks like they're content with Adams and a bunch of JAGs on Offense.

In a nutshell, that’s actually kind of the case. Obviously there is no official owner but since Bob Harlan turned the reigns over to Mark Murphy the number one priority has gone from winning to being as profitable as possible. He spearheaded this whole “Titletown” project of buying up all the land and that’s really all they’re focused on.

I know a guy who had a little house right next to the stadium, his driveway was literally right next to one of the parking lot entrances. House was less than 1200 square feet and they gave him almost 2 million for it.

It’s cool in a way but they have really destroyed a lot of the charm and the on field product has suffered greatly. It’s just not their main focus anymore. They want it to be a full scale entertainment complex more than a football team.

I really thought that Jordan Love was coming out a gay based on the thread title.

Oh well, instead another over rated, over hyped QB to add to the pile.....

Rodgers is so friendly and giving, he will probably coach Love to be his replacement.
