Fantastic move, Brett, as usual. Dude is just slaying things, almost like he wants to win a Super Bowl or something. We could sure use one of those things, been almost 6 damn months since the last one and I'm getting a little antsy.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Chiefs have agreed to terms with RB Samaje Perine.
An interesting fit. Perine has been one of the better receiving tailbacks the last few years, and is coming off a season where he caught 50 balls for the Broncos in 2023. He’ll now join Kansas City, and he see a fair share of targets as a third-down running back working behind Isaiah Pacheco and (likely) Clyde Edwards-Helaire. This doesn’t make Perine a must-get in fantasy circles, but it certainly makes him a player to monitor; much more so than when he was with Denver, anyway

George Paton has a "stacked" RB room already.

The Kansas City Chiefs added to their backfield depth by taking a running back who was cut from their division-rival Denver Broncos.

Rapaport reported on Monday the Broncos were working to trade Perine, but they had already made the decision to move on from him one way or another.

After the Broncos announced Perine's release on Tuesday, general manager George Paton told reporters they just couldn't find a spot for him in a "stacked room" and his lack of versatility on special teams compared to someone like Audric Estime limited their options.
