Per Schefter, apparently

And yeah, it DOES say a lot that they seemingly have no interest in Nazeeh Johnson or Josh Williams being CB #2. For how much folks touted our CB depth as a reason we could trade Sneed, it sure looks pretty rough with just one injury.

Couldn't have known Watson was gonna have a season ending injury. Also couldn't have known by November it still doesn't look like Johnson is back to form from a serious injury. Also don't think it'll cost a 3rd. Hope we find out.

That assumes they would pay Lattimore anything past this $1m or so that he’s owed, and I don’t believe they would. It’s a rental if they go down that road, I think.

But it really wouldn’t surprise me if this whole report is a leverage play for the Chiefs to get someone else.

What, praytell, is the acceptable number of midseason mercenaries you're allowed to collect before it's no longer considered "cool"?

The LIV team had Pennel, Wisniewski, and Suggs

The LVII team had Kadarius Toney, Brandon Williams

I guess LVIII only had Hardman. Is that SB ring shinier than the others because the Chiefs had fewer midseason acquisitions?

Just freaking do it Veach. Anything worth doing is worth over doing. Go get Lattimore and our defense is absolute nails across the board. Mahomes/Reid will handle the rest. Go get the 3 peat!

That’s a great post… and it’s also needing to protect themselves from other possible injury in the secondary. It could be worse than it is right now in terms of health. When you have a chance to fix it before the deadline passes, you would be foolish not to try.

Who the **** cares?!? Seriously, THATS what you guys are basing it on?!? How many ****ing scrubs get fluffed up only to be completely ****ing worthless once it's time to actually play.

Hell, that shit happened this year with Wiley and he was, uh, not very good.

A lot of context has come to life since that trade. Watson was playing out of his mind, and if they think adding someone of Lattimore’s caliber is necessary here midseason, that says a lot about what Watson was doing + even more about what they think Nazeeh and Williams are capable of doing in Watson’s absence.

With Lattimore only having $1M left to pay this year, it’s not apples to apples between choosing he and Sneed.

Remember when the Chiefs said Toney and Moore were starting caliber WRs and playing better than ever? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Wont do any good if Lattimore can't play. The guy is hurt. Not, "hurt," but hurt for real.
