OP adds lots and lots of points which gives people plenty of topics to chew on. Some might really peak your interest, and others not at all. But you get lots to choose from. I think it’s great. |

Pacheco back with Hunt backing him up, DHop getting up to speed, Kelce rounding into form, Worthy only getting better....even without Hollywood and Rice, this offense is going to be cooking coming into December. Which is a complete luxury, because with the way the D is playing, we really only need a decent O.

Some folks want the early year Mahomes offense and are frustrated by this “boring”offense, but it works and that’s all that matters.
Take a look around the league. The Ravens lost to the freaking Browns, the Bengals got their shit pushed in by the Eagles at home, the Colts had so many opportunities to win yesterday and threw them all away, the Bears gave up a freaking Hail Mary. The Chiefs are just a machine that’s taking care of business. They’re getting everyone’s best shot and simply don’t care. Remember last year when the Chiefs just continued making mistakes and checked out of games like the Broncos, Lions and XMas Raiders? That doesn’t appear to be happening this year. These guys are as consistent as I have ever seen them and that’s terrifying for everyone else. |

I think we see the potential for issues. We will have lukewarm defensive performances where we have to go heavy on pass script. Pass rushers that can get to mahomes all day. Teams that can effectively stop kelce without selling out. Mahomes tendency to play hero ball when drives stall or we can’t finish long. Games where our developing rookie worthy can’t be overused. For the rest of the year we probably won’t be a pass first offense but we are at our best when we put the ball in mahomes’ hands when it matters most. And I think all of us recognize his greatness while at the same time recognizing that we are a bit nervous about our ability to come from behind or ice games with our passing game |

Worthy needs a little more strength in his hands. We can't have a faster Skyy Moore. Need to make tough or challenged catches.
Not sure what else I can fault about yesterday except the constant run up the gut on 2nd down that gained little to nothing like 20 times. Too predictable in that formation and player set. One of the better all around games. |

If Pacheco and Rice don't get injured, they probably don't bring in Hopkins, Hunt, or JuJu. I'd rather have Rice than Hopkins but there's more depth after the signings made because of injuries. |

What value does “great rush by George there” have after the fact? Just add some context, combine similar thoughts into a cohesive paragraph and then we’ll have something resembling a good recap (I.e. gblowfish’s 10 things) |

Some of your content is cool. Some is fluff when there’s no context. Again this is purely from an unsolicited editorial viewpoint. |

Some additional thoughts on video review:
Wanya held up really well in pass pro on the bigger plays for Pat such as: The 16 yard pass to Hopkins (against K’Lavon Chaisson) Mahomes first down rainbow to Perine (also against Chaisson) Mahomes bailed early from pressure DT Adam Butler straight up the middle. The 19 yard pass to Watson Mahomes had a very clean pocket for 3-4 seconds and Morris held his man Tyree Wilson very well. The third down sack with about a minute to go in the 1st was Wanya getting beat by Wilson around the edge. Again on the worthy 1st down the DE (unknown) got past Wanya on the outside but it was a quick hit play for a first down on 3rd&2. Wanya did decent against Crosby on the 3rd&6 flip pass to Grey. Mahomes had to step up in the pocket form the pressure and then took off running to draw the defenders in. While it wasn’t a great rep for Wanya is sure was much better than some reps later against Crosby. Wanya absolutely whiffed on the Kelce TD when Chaisson did a swim move on him. Fortunately Kelce was open quick and it didn’t matter. Every play of the last drive if the first half Wanya was stout against Chaisson. On the last play (to Hopkins) he “discarded” Chaisson to the ground and engaged Butler to hold the pocket for Mahomes. We all know how the second drive in the 3rd went pinned at the 3 yard line when Crosby abused him. On the interception play he actually held his own well and got a little help from Perine. Every 4th quarter snap Wanya held up well against both Chaisson and Crosby. On the last TD Hunt helped Wanya with a chip against Deablo rushing. |

Hopkins immediately looks like a force multiplier. Not only is he an upgrade on the bottom roster guys, he's doing exactly as advertised is helping Kelce. Really is a Rice replacement without the YAC. Man it's nice to have someone with hands that good. Morris I think is worse than Donovan Smith last year. I think we're stretching what is possible in terms of winning with sub-par LTs. Really would prefer to see Kingsley given the snaps. I'm not convinced he's worse. Felt like Nazeeh was playing nice on the left and maybe finally locked in. The opposite of Williams. Crazy how bad he's fallen off. DL pass rush felt pretty meh, run D on the other hand was superb. To one of the earlier op points, just a disappointing showing by Fortson all around... a penalty, no catches, and immediately gets injured again
I had visions of gumdrop trees and lemonade streams his first few years, but at some point you just have to give up... the guy isn't built for the NFL |
