I used to have VW Camper Vans. Those things are unreal in price value anymore.
This thing caught my eye on AD RIDER flea market. Turbo Diesel. |

That would be a sweet ride. About the same ride just not as prestigious would be a crown vic and easier to find.
I love a truck but after years on road in them for work you appreciate a big old smooth gliding sedan. Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk |

Nice day here so I took this out for a spin...
rel="Lightbox"?s=df7d73f86410766eafe93210f00427eb&attachmentid=127815&thumb=1&d=1723511008" class="thumbnail" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version Name: PIC.jpg Views: 39 Size: 74.0 KB ID: 127815" style="margin: 2px" /> Bought about 8 years ago for well under your 10k limit, but I had to travel pretty far to get it and 80's Japanese sports cars have jumped up in price over the past few years so it'll take over that 10k now days. Lots of nice ones in this thread, I'll take that T\A and the IROC and even that T-Bird Turbo Coupe, but all of those (especially the T\A) in the condition shown would be well over that 10k limit, heck that T\A you'll need a near 40k limit probably. Now give me a 20k limit and I think I might be able to come up with a few... Edit: Guess I don't know how to insert a pic? All these years on CP suppose I never figured it out? If you aren't afraid of turning a wrench, hate yourself a little and like to curse a bunch, I'd like to humbly suggest a 2008 BMW 335i. If you find one with bad turbos, but in otherwise sound condition, you can build yourself quite a sleeper for $15k or less.
Swap out those busted turbos with a set of high flow aftermarket turbos, plus all of the goodies that go with that (exhaust, intercooler, bov, fuel pump, etc) and you'll have yourself a car that will get into the low 12s or high 11s in the 1/4 mile, yet still be civil enough to drive around town. I swapped my turbos out in my garage, using nothing but floor jacks. Its a chore, but doable. Be prepared to make a lot of trips to get Torx and e-Torx sockets and bits in every length known to mankind. |

I remember when they came out with that 2+2 (iirc) version of the MGB. Always liked them, especially the previous version. Came close to buying one several times. In fact there was one that needed restoring on FB marketplace recently that was very reasonable and tempting.

I'd take a golf cart for cruising through the neighborhood and heading down to the subdivion's pool. Wouldn't mind a project of fixing up a junker.

My cousin had the Conquest version of that with the turbo. It was a freaking blast to drive.
