Aiyuk to the Steelers?
Seems to be a lot of buzz around the Steelers finalizing a trade for Aiyuk.

It’s pretty entertaining watching Rickey right now. He’s not backing off the Steelers though! https://x.com/prettyrickey213/status...lslB7sz492FbAw |

If your the Giants why are you not in on this? You have slot receivers and a rookie that should be good.

I personally don't find it a threat wherever Aiyuk lands, he's a great #2 option, but won't ever be a true #1 capable of carrying your team and demanding the smoke. I think it hurts SF because then you have all the smoke on Deebo who himself isn't a true #1 and SF has no other #2 to replace Aiyuk. So it's a win win for us and our potential opponents in the playoffs.

Giants just don't have the cap space, it would seem. They have about $12M. Plus this Nabers kid is looking AWESOME in camp and will be their number 1 alpha receiver.

They can get out from under Jones after this season for a 20 million dead cap hit.

I've read he's looking a lot better in camp, so we'll see. THis is Jones' last year in NY unless he shows significant improvement and stays healthy. On Hard Knocks, their GM told him point blank we are looking at other QBs this draft. Yesterday, the guy started a fight with a Lions player, so there appears to be some fight in him.

Daniel Jones has a medical condition known as Matt Cassel Face. It's where he always has this empty stupid-looking doe-eyed expression on his face, and it makes people who have to work with him not take him seriously. It affects people in different ways depending on their lifestyles, and for a professional QB, this can be absolutely crippling because nobody good wants to be around you.
The Giants aren't in on Aiyuk specifically because they know Aiyuk would find their team situation to be a revolting prospect. On the outside, it looks like they're incompetent, but the reality is that MCF affects the people who surround the afflicted just as much, and eventually they know they have to sadly give up. It's very emotionally draining. |

I'm just saying the Giants have a meh roster. With Aiyuik and Nabers, you either see if hes the real deal or have a nicer landing spot for v2.o.
