This Sean Payton shit is a cash grab, 17-20 mill per year totally speaks to he gave them a figure so high he thought there was no way they'd meet it.

I've done some work as an independent contractor and there are plenty of times I quoted something overly high on purpose cause I didn't wanna do it...then the person says ok. Internally you're like mother**** I didn't wanna do this job but now I gotta because that's alotta money.

I'm currently working on a data cleanup project for someone that fits this exact description.

"Can you do this?"

Yes

"Would you do it if I paid you $100/hour?"

I mean... yes.

(Duncan is taking Mrs. Idaho to Italy for her 40th, as it turns out...)

But I hate every second of doing it and am not approaching it with the energy I would a project I WANT to do. There probably are some innovation opportunities I could have found if I were more engaged. But I'm not. So... slogging my way through it to meet the need and get the check.
