Naked chicken wings with just a bit of rotisserie chicken sprinkled on. Funny how you can do so much to them but the simplest things turn out so awesome...

Looks like a you can get a whole trimmed brisket for 6.79/lb at McGonigles in KC right now. You could probably get it untrimmed (advised) for a little less. So maybe you could find one at a Costco or Price Chopper for around 6/lb, as a butcher will usually run a little higher. I'd probably do that after the prices I've seen up here, but even a 12 lb'er at say 6.5 is going to run you $78. **** beef right now.
I just sounded like my old man and gas prices. |

I made carne asada tacos last night from some 5.40/lb top round, pickled red onion, queso fresco, cilantro, with salsa picante.
I sub pickled red onions for whites because a) I have a jar of them in the fridge and b) raw whites ruin my life. |

I love pickled veggies on a taco bar. My buddy did a big taco bar party, and he quick pickled like 5 different things for taco toppings.

Me too. I do the onions myself because we typically have onion on hand in the kitchen. A bunch of the taquerias near me have large containers of pickled veg, mostly carrot, cauliflower, and peppers and I'll get a couple large scoops to go for a buck. Sometimes I'll put them on a sandwich to just change it up.
