That 2025 pick better be at least another 3, ideally 2.

NGL, be pretty disappointed with Veach if that's the move. If the offers are that shit tell them all to **** off and let Sneed play on the tag.

Just hope we at least bolster the roster meaningfully with the cap space it provides. |

Need to see what the ‘25 pick is. If it’s day two, I won’t complain at all. |

That's very odd to me if that's the case. Sneed is ****ing elite in our system and playing him a tick below market value for the season we're chasing the three peat seems like an acceptable use of cap, especially given how ridiculous the market at our most pressing positions of needs ended up being.

The comp for Brian Burns should’ve told us that we’re likely to get the low end of expectations. Not surprised this is how it’s ending up but will be fine if it’s a 2025 2 (though I bet it’s a 3 or 4).
Doesn’t mean I think it’s a great outcome but you trust Veach. |

I don't know. I knew we weren't going to clean up, but this feels bad. Next year's pick really needs to be a 2nd. |

Horrendous compensation if it’s a 3 and a shit pick next year.

Ammo is ammo.
I want a 2nd round pick, too. A 3rd this year and a 2nd next year would equate to that level of value. A 3rd and a 3rd next year would be more like an early third in this draft. Anything less than that seems like selling low, but I also don’t know what options they have if he won’t play on the tag and they can’t work the extension into their plans. I’d rather have Sneed than the pick compensation in a vacuum, but there’s also the money it frees up (and the question of whether Sneed would report on time, if playing on the tag). But with the Colts 2nd, you’d be positioned to trade up into that NFC cluster in the low 20s if you want, or move up basically 2/3 of the round in the 2nd, or to turn your present 3rd into another second. The last time this went down (Hill) it gave KC exactly the ammo they need to get a player they wanted. Even if the comp seemed light. I’ll trust and wait on, I think. |
