Anyone watch this show?

I was bored and watched all three episodes that have been aired so far on OnDemand. I actually think the show is pretty damn good so far, I like the character a lot.

True, but he was a douchebag with a criminal record who was trying to extort money from them, so it was easy to "stretch" the code to cover him.

LaGuerta was different. She was just a cop doing her job, and she was murdered by a (now) dirty cop.

Not really. Not like LaGuerta, who was just a cop doing her job.

I thought it was the best season since the Trinity Killer season.

That doesn't mean I like what they turned Deb into, though.

You mean the guy who called Rita a slut, when Dexter was still reeling from the fact that she had just been murdered by the Trinity Killer?

That was not a premeditated killing. Considering how Dexter had been walking around like an emotionless zombie ever since he found Rita's body, I was actually glad to see him snap and show that he cared that Rita was gone. It was a humanizing moment.

For those who have read the books, was this in the books?

Liked how they brought Doakes back for those series of flashbacks. Scenes with him and Dexter were just the best and now we have a few more new ones.
The Doakes scenes just reminded me on how good this show use to be.

everyone makes mistakes.

Just the rules so no one posts future spoilers without spoiler tags and everyone knows to stay out of threads if you dont want to see what has happened so far.

Wow, I'm surprised how many of you liked this season (and finale).

I thought the whole season was pretty average, and the finale didn't impress me at all.

This.

I'm going to ride it out for its last season but after season 4 nothing has come close in my book - I keep wanting it to come back to that level and it just hasn't.

It's had some parts here and there but its been down hill since 4 for sure
