Watched Castle Freak last night which I recommend. Adaption of Lovecraft's The Outsider that was filmed in an actual Italian castle.
Jonathan Fuller's role as the freak is superb and there's a couple really disturbing scenes throughout.
Spoiler!

Tales from the Hood. First saw it in middle school, this scene always stuck with me.

I watched It Follows last weekend. 2017 film I think. Really well done and enjoyable. Sort of has this big Indie vibe meets horror thing happening. Recommended.

Watched "hell house" last week, then got hooked and watched the two sequels.
Pretty good "found footage" style horror film about a group of 20-somethings creating a haunted house in an old hotel. Some legitimate creepiness to it, for sure. Enjoyed all three actually. |

The Queen of Black Magic (2020)
Thought this was pretty decent if you're into Asian or more specifically Indonesian horror flicks. Its well filmed and acted. The computer generated violence scenes are clean and superb. My only knock is its a little slow to develop and a bit boring in the beginning and middle as the story comes together. Still there was more to like than dislike with this one. |

Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream are the 2 classic horror movies that come to mind when you think about this kind of movies.

I don't have Shudder but if anyone wants to give this a go and report back that would be appreciated.

Anyway, it’s a slow burn, creepy, anxiety inducing, well filmed and delivered horror. No tits that I recall, more mentally disturbing kills than stalk and slash gore. Going off recollection here but feel it had A Winters Bone disturbing kind of feel with some evil spirit ghost play. I enjoyed it. EDIT: You should get Shudder Last edited by KCUnited; 03-21-2021 at 06:50 PM.. |

Yeah, you did post about that one. I watched it on your recommendation.
It was pretty creepy overall. I wasn't upset that I spent a couple hours watching it. |
