Damn, I didn't expect them to actually cut bait on Niang. Sucks to whiff on a 3rd round pick like that, but it's hard to complain when we've gotten so much value out of the later rounds lately.

Didn't he opt out because he was still rehabbing an injury? Don't get me wrong, he sucked. But thought it came to light that the COVID year thing was strategic for that purpose.

Glad to be amongst the "many others" from the jump.

Will those that were not still seethe and cling to that cute little explanation that "the Chiefs held Niang out by their own choosing," and continue to pretend that wasn't utter bullshit?

They told him to opt out..he was recovering from a hip surgery and would have missed most of the year anyway.

This regimes 3rd round picks have left a little to be desired

Pretty sure he has a family member with a compromised immune system and was concerned about having to isolate from them the entire season.

I was about to ask if this was ever actually confirmed. I remember everyone saying it, but wasn’t sure it was true.

Either way, he was dogshit and needed to be gone. Thank God they landed Driskell as a nice project. Still can’t believe a guy that big who can move like him went undrafted.

Sky Less and MEH aside, this is the best possible roster you can assemble with the players available. CB2 is the only questionmark, otherwise, this roster could possibly be the most complete, well-rounded in the Mahomes era.

Hendershot was apparently not only an experienced ST’s player but also an above average blocker.

Sounds like he could really be useful on 12/13 personnel or as a FB. Could really be useful blocking on short yardage situations as well

There are direct quotes from Niang with a very concise explanation that leaves no room for interpretation. I quoted and linked before. Many jimmies were rustled.

That was Damien Williams. He was worried about his mom I believe.
