Yes I'm sure the vaccine makers simply put their goods in the open market with a fixed price tag and no machinations or leverage behind the scenes was applied by the US govt.

An Indian vaccine is coming for your children:
https://www.reuters.com/article/heal...-idUSL4N2LD1FF Excerpt: Musunuri said COVAXIN had the potential to work against COVID-19 variants and Ocugen could initially focus on children as it was likely to be safe for those over the age of 12, while shots produced by other drugmakers targeted adults. “Like a polio virus given to babies, this could be safe for all children, high-risk groups, pregnant women and people with comorbidities,” Musunuri said of COVAXIN. I didn't even know India had a vaccine. They're hoping to get FDA approval in the USA in April. |

My coworker got the first dose of Moderna and was scheduled to get the 2nd does this week but sometime last week got Covid. Currently he has flu symptoms and high temp which started last night.
So much for one dose being protective. |

Yeah but there was alot of talk about doing only one dose to vaccinate more people because one dose was really good. I would have thought though even with one dose you wouldn't get sick but he has been bed ridden for 2 days so far. And he is a young guy in his 30's.
