I looked to be sure, but yeah, I've got 5 rolls of cheap PT in the garage. Maybe I'll sell them on Ebay for $100/each . . .

My wife teaches 2nd grade in one of the biggest school districts in the state. They are on spring break. Starting next week they are doing online learning using Microsoft teams. Grades Kindergarten through High School. Giving every student computers and free Wi-Fi at home. They have obviously made the decision to not go back into the physical classrooms this year.

Parents supposed to stay home with these young kids? Give up work?

In most of Mexico and Central America the pipes are too narrow for even TP. They throw it in a covered wastebin. It seems gross at first but it rarely smells. You fold it over before throwing it away out of courtesy.

Depends.

The generic crappy single-ply PTs I'm talking about are about half the thickness of your Brawny PTs (insert name brand high quality PT here). You can basically see thru them if you hold them up in front of direct sunlight. Now, usually these get used while fishing/hunting/camping, so at best I'm using them in vault-style toilets, not running plumbing.

But I have used them before in the house experimentally zs well as at gas stations that didn't have TP in the stall. And they flushed just fine. Of course, I use them sparingly; I'm not folding things over four and five times for one wipe. I'm taking about 6-8 inches of paper, folding once. Repeat. Done. Never had any problems doing it that way in indoor plumbing. YMMV of course.
