Anyone have any experience with a 2014 Nissan Xterra? Might pick one up, my truck is starting to give me trouble and it’s not really worth messing with anymore.

Wellllllllll its been a while and ive been busy. but since someone was talking about rust and it got me to thinking about aluminum bodied vehicles..
If anyone follows this thread you might know I sold off the turbo trans am.. then the market went absolutely insane. So, sold off my RS too, since i got 1500 bucks more than I paid for it a year and a half/40k miles ago then I bought (stole it more like it) this Over the last month, ive transformed it into this gen 3 5.0 coyote 10 speed trans revs to 7500rpm JLT Intake, ported mustang GT intake mani, MBRP exhaust OZ tuned Belltech 2/4 axle flip VAS traction bars 468whp on e85 through unloaded (dynojet) dyno 405/400 loaded (mustang) dyno tons of fun and damn is she pretty. |

You certainly improved the look of the front end of that Ford. Those blue stripes were awful.

I switched it to the STX grill, but really the biggest improvement was going from the base model, 1985, only can see 5 feet in front of you halogen POS headlights to these Alpharex LED headlights. Huge upgrade~ |

Yeah. LED conversions are the answer. But you have to be careful. There are some shit LED conversions out there.
My work wagon has LED. I have no idea how I operated a motor vehicle before LED. My sprayer has LED that will light up 50 acres like ****ing day. LOL. I’m spoiled. |

I'm 90% sure of the answer but could use some confirmation.
A friend of mine's car was dead the last night so I gave her jumpstart. It's started as soon as I hooked the cables up and turned the ignition. However, after about 20 minute the lights dimmed, blinked, went off, came back on, etc when in idle but good when giving gas. She turned it off after around 45 minutes and it was dead again. Alternator? |

Alternator.
Takes way more power to turn the engine with a starter than it does to make a tiny little spark. If it wouldn’t even click I’d start with the battery. But it’s probably alternator. AutoZone type stores should be able to test both. |
