Do you think the NFL is "rigged?"

Pretty simple question: Do you think the NFL is "rigged?"

Specifically, do you believe the NFL has a preferred outcome for games AND orders its officiating crews to make calls for/against teams for the purpose of achieving that preferred outcome?

Them applying the rules wrong happens way too often as well. That's the result of having a huge rulebook and not enough time devoted to mastering it.

All it takes is the NFL to emphasize to officials in a particular game , to watch out for X player on X team as it relates to judgement calls. Simple as that.

This statement: "There is an incredible amount of wiggle room purposely built into many of the rules."

I don't know what that means. Like what? Some calls are more judgment than others, but they all have defined rules on what constitutes a penalty.

In fact I'm sure that's probably happened on multiple occasions in the past, esp back when refs were making like $50/game and there wasn't internet, social media, or 24hr sports networks and if this happened you could get away with it more than you probably could now.
If CoMo doesn't think it is rigged, you folks that do have really got to re-examine things.

Yes I do believe that it happens from time to time, kind of like insider trading on Wall Street happens once in a while. Where there is money to be made there are people willing to do anything to make it.

Um, you've got that backwards.

It's a pretty safe bet to disagree with CoMo, no matter what the subject.

Yeah, but the guy thinks EVERYTHING is "rigged" or there's a conspiracy or a government set-up or whatever. So, you know a conspiracy to rig NFL games must really be crazy if even CoMo doesn't think it is plausible.

I think the NFL got the match up they wanted for their "New York" Superbowl. Hopefully they won't "bend" the rules to put the Donks in there again next year.

I think Seattle went above and beyond to make sure there wasn't a farting sow's ass in hell's chance they'd let the officials tip the game.
