Star Wars: Rebels
And here's our replacement for Clone Wars. Coming to Disney XD in fall 2014. Bridges the gap between Eps 3 and 4. Looks...very cool. Conceptually.

I'm assuming Snoke is from a race we haven't even seen before, from out beyond the rim. Maybe Wendig's second book will have something on him. In any case, I don't think any major reveal about him is going to come from secondary canon. If we ever get any real details on him, it'll be in ep 8 or 9, not books, cartoons or comics. We'll probably just get hints there. Not 'omfg snoke is maul!' on Disney xd with half a million people watching. Which is also why I doubt he's the Grand Inquisitor. Most of the movie audience wouldn't even know who that is...

If Snoke was Maul or a Sith or even a former Jedi, all he has to do is say "It'll be addressed in the movies". Instead, he ruled out the idea that Snoke and Ren were or ever had been Sith. |

In any case, I find it difficult to believe that Lucasfilm isn't setting up some type of crossover from their animated series to the movies. What better way is there than using the extremely successful films to garner new viewers to their TV properties? |

It's not a huge audience at all compared to the movie audience. It's not even a huge audience compared to The Clone Wars.
And I'm sure they will crossover. But will that involve something major? Doubtful. Something obvious enough that hardcores (like ourselves) can catch the reference, but minor enough that it won't matter if the larger movie audience misses it completely. Easter eggs as opposed to reveals. Now...if they introduce Inquisitors on the big screen, let's say during Rogue One, then it's a different story. Because then it wouldn't matter if someone had watched Rebels or not. Either way, I don't think Snoke is a pau'an. And Maul makes no sense. But who knows. I've been wrong before. |

Did anyone else see Ahsoka walking away from Vader at the end?

This was an interesting episode.
First off, Darth Maul came off as a much more powerful Sith, which isn't unlike what was shown in the prequels or Clone Wars series and clearly, he's alive to create more shenanigans. Ashoka clearly knocked off or created the first divot in Vader's armor: She slashed away the mask, we saw Anakin's eye and as seen in the closing montage, she walks away unscathed. IMO, it works because just s few years later, Vader has the opportunity to destroy Luke it clearly pulls back. Clearly the narrative continues to shift from Anakin being a bad guy to being a guy that was manipulated due to his emotions. His decision to let his former Padawan escape is more proof of his vulnerability. |

I am truly surprised that Maul's dialog mirrored Yoda's in TESB.
The series is, IMO, is undermining or better yet, drawing the thin line between the Jedi and the Sith, Maybe that's the point. Maybe that's the foundation of the Knights of Ren. Either way, we won't find out for another year. |

Ahsoka Tano, fan favorite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, will be the star of her own young adult novel from Disney Lucasfilm Press this October 11, 2016!
Fans have long wondered what happened to Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order near the end of the Clone Wars, and before she re-appeared as the mysterious Rebel operative Fulcrum in Rebels. Finally, her story will begin to be told. Following her experiences with the Jedi and the devastation of Order 66, Ahsoka is unsure she can be part of a larger whole ever again. But her desire to fight the evils of the Empire and protect those who need it will lead her right to Bail Organa, and the Rebel Alliance…. The character walked away from the Jedi Order at the end of season five of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and we know little about her life in the years following her decision to carve her own path. How did she react to Order 66? How did she become Fulcrum? There are so many questions to ponder, and we’re about to get some answers about what happened during what I like to think of as Ahsoka Tano’s lost years in a new novel by E.K. Johnston from Disney-Lucasfilm Press. “Ahsoka has a long history, and there is much more to it than the fans know,” says Dave Filoni, Executive Producer/Supervising Director [of Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars]. “I have always worked on her story, even parts that I know we will probably never see on screen. By broadening her story from the animated series to the written page, I feel we have a real opportunity to provide fans with details about her character that they would not know otherwise. We are also responding to the strong fan support that we have seen Ahsoka receive over the last eight years. The fans want more Ahsoka and we are going to give it to you, and since I’ve been there since the beginning I am dedicated to working with publishing to help make this book as authentic a part of her story as if we filmed it for the series.” |

Mechanical legs? Possibly. SW is the CIA of entertainment franchises. Believe nothing until you see it with your own eyes. |
