*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****
IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

He wasn't a team leader, and had no rapport with the team as a whole and with guys individually except for a few of his receivers. Mahomes grew up around the locker room culture of professional athletes, and is a grinder. He's going to be a early in out late guy who recognises putting in the time and cultivating the relationships with the guys & coaches. NFL network just reported that the Saints had in fact identified Pat as who they were sold on taking over for Brees. He was their #1 target. |

What Keitzman is saying is right to a degree, but come on its sports talk radio you have to go the other direction to get people to call in.

Picking a QB based solely on a teams wins and losses is plain stupid. Smith must be a Hall of Famer thinking like that. The result doesn't make the theory correct. It's a flawed way of thinking. Teams passed on Dak and Russell because of that way of thinking. Leaf went number 1 because of the same thinking. So did the slob from LSU the Raiders drafted.
The pick is based on what you can become not the overall teams win loss record. Mahomes has the skills to become great. Who knows if he will but the talent is there. |
