I didn't happen to see it (was at a family get together for Boxing Day) but it appears the team with SGA unsurprisingly played better than the other.

NFL and NBA viewership numbers from the Christmas games:

NFL:
- Raiders-Chiefs: 29.17M

NBA (via @sportsrapport)
- Bucks-Knicks: 2.5M
- Warriors-Nuggets: 4.1M

Flopping is annoying. But this load management shit is unwatchable. Imagine traveling hundreds of miles to watch lebron for the first time and they decide an hour before the game they decided to bench him. Not to mention the shady implications of what Brooklyn did to sports bettors. Some guys with inside info probably made huge bank on the Unders and that’s pretty messed up.

I don’t know how you solve for it. But man it’s out of control in the nba right now

The only solution is to make regular season games mean more.

Probably means fewer of them and have the seeding in the playoffs be more important (bigger advantages for higher seeds).

The NFL is definitely more popular but one sport has 82 games and another has 17. Also NBA is much more popular internationally which is not reflected in TV ratings.
