I can't help but feel like Vick is fool's gold. He played really well during the non-con last year too. When the going got tough, he disappeared.

I just can't count on him. I hope I eat my words.

I’m certain it is fools gold. This won’t last. Self knows it too. There are reasons Self didn’t want a junior starter back for his senior year.

I’m going to enjoy the ride to the bottom though.

This is true, but there is reason to suspect something different. In the past, Vick was reliant on others setting him up. Tonight, Vick was a leader. He moved without the ball, he never forced anything. He attacked the rim when it was there. He went after rebounds and played defense.

If it was just a case of him being set up for wide open threes, I would be less optimistic.
