So, what’s this Sneed trade gonna end up being?

Since we know this thing is coming down in the next few days.

What’s the predictions? Not what you want, but what you think the details end up being?

When you're picking #32 or so every year, it's a little different.

"Swing tackle" is a good analogy for "sucks and isn't good enough to start" alot of times.

You mean like backup QBs? Yeah

It's a hard position. Give me a guy who doesn't totally **** the offense up by being inserted for a few games and I'll take it.

That's not really how this works.

If that's the approach you want to take -- "These 3rd rounders will absolutely have to start" then you should probably never take anything but IOL, LBs and maybe Safeties past the 2nd round.

Because those are going to be the only positions where you can be reasonable confident that they will.

For all the rest? Sorry, but the hit rates are going to be what they're going to be. And no, you're not 'supposed' to be drawing starters from those picks at the rest of those positions.

No, 3rd round picks aren't 'supposed' to end up as starters. Especially not at positions like OT.

If you take an OT in the late 3rd and he ends up doing nothing more than being a solid swing OT for 4 years, that's more than most will actually get from their 3rd round picks.

Wanya totally ****ed up the offense against Oakland.

That's why I'm not even 100% confident in calling him a rock-solid swing OT just yet.

I'm not really surprised that a 3rd round pick who was thrust into the starting lineup had a bad game. It doesn't mean I wouldn't look to upgrade him if possible but I don't think that's what his career is going to be.

That whole game was just such a shitshow. Pierce got every last bit of emotion out of his guys for that day.

We struggled to run the football for positive yardage the whole first half. Shit I'm not sure we even did end up in the positive.

Wanya was the worst, but none of the guys showed up ready to match what the Raiders brought. Period.

Faiders added Christian Wilkins too. I would love one of these top WRs to fall to us at #32, but if the same thing were to happen at OT, I would rather grab them than a WR. Ideally you want both, but Morris is not the answer for anything other that G or maybe giving a blow to RT.

If you want a LT, there's basically 3 options.

A. Trade up for one, or draft one in the first round

B. Trade for and pay a guy

C. Sign an older vet.

All the other options are coinflips at best.

Sneed and #32 for #15.

That puts the value of Sneed at #44. Indy still gets a pick in the first round and has their 2nd round pick. The Chiefs get a chance at a LT that falls. Sign Brown in FA, grab a LT at 15 and then go WR in the 2nd.
Yeah that's what I was thinking too.

Just re-sign Donovan Smith.

Tyron Smith is older, would probably be more expensive and he hasn’t played a full season since 2015.

One more thing...

It will be easier to 3peat with Sneed on the roster and run it back with our all-time calibre defense. We only lose if we trade Sneed for less than he's worth, no less than mid to upper second.
