WTF?
Star Trek Discovery season 2 release date: When do we next get more Trek? Season one launched on September 24, 2017, but don't expect to see season two in September 2018. Co-creator Alex Kurtzman has explained that season two won't land until 2019 at the earliest. "Breaking story is, in some ways, the easier and faster thing; it's the ability to execute on it that's much harder. We want to take the right amount of time and don't want to rush," he outlined. |

And I grudgingly must admit that I really dug the ending. While they altered the Enterprise a bit, they basically just beefed it up and made it look badass.

how can that be? The Discovery’s technology and ship was far more advanced on episode 1 than the Class of ships piloted by Pike.

The obvious answer is that modern audiences who are unfamiliar with the original series would find sets and ships from the 60s simplistic and lame. Discovery was made for them. The old guard just has to suck it up and deal with it. |

Wonder how many account cancellations came in the day after the show?
I waited until the season was over then binged it on the free trial. I'll do the same on Season two. |

I get to watch the local CBS feed of the Chief games. Thats worth $6 a month to me. Our Chiefs group can watch the games in our homes without going out to a bar. |

The guy who plays Pike reminds me of a young Jürgen Prochnow.

IDK who this guy is but I'm intrigued.
Also like the melding they've done with the DIS/TOS uniforms. Not sure about the kinda meta-humor they're going for with Tilly being the STEM geek. I like a wink and a nod: not a jab and furious gesturing. |
