I don't think Hopkins would have played for peanuts here but if we had called him I think he would have allowed us to sign him to a 2 year deal with a less than ten million cap hit this year.

Still way better value than MVS.

This would be completely different…these guys are getting embarrased by this WR group similarly to how the team got embarrased by its OL. And look what they did…

I expect Veach/Andy/Hunt to throw on a a lot of numbers at the position and they need a vet.

Remember Diggs staying on the field watching us celebrate? Yeah…
He'll follow the money...PERIOD

Occasionally a SB contender will get a Randy Moss on a cheap one year deal.

(Or an Antonio Brown.)

Or who is the former Raven's player, KC got off the waiver wire cheap that helped us win a SB?

But yeah, even Mahomes is taking a max contract so to speak.

You have absolutely no clue what he "would have allowed us to sign him to".

Guys, we weren’t ever freaking really going to get DHop. Look at the timeline.

And we aren’t going to get Diggs.

It kinds of fits the mold of what the Chiefs do.

Get a good WR at a relative bargain for a year, let them rebuild their status somewhat, then let them walk.

Cap means lies...

Hopkins literally went out of his way to call said rumor a lie. Pretty much ends that discussion.
