Now that you know what is technically over...
I'm sure we will start to hear more positive medical news about this virus and how we can start to fight back/recover. It's good to hear one can build up some immunity. Who knows maybe the worst is yet to come with the virus potentially jumping from animal to human then mutating. Anything can potentially happen in 2020. |

Because that’s not how it’s gonna work. We know how viruses and the immune system works to combat them.
If you wanna say “this one is completely abnormal than anything we know of” you’ve gotta prove that vs the alternative that “yeah it acts like a normal virus” |

Considering the two dozen and something symptoms the virus causes it's safe to say it does not act like a 'normal' virus.

In terms of the Immune response there is no reason to believe it will be anything different than the vast majority of the other viral infections(especially a Corona virus or a rhinovirus or an adenovirus) we all encounter. It’s not HIV. It’s a fairly run of the mill corona virus |

Just wait until a week after Thanksgiving. Its confusing ppl thought this thing was going to be easily mitigated when entering cold and flu szn. Its like ppl just put there head in the sand and refused to acknowledge the cold and flu season exists. We acted totally unprepared when we know that increased transmission rates are going to occur like clockwork. If I was a state leader I would have tried to get ahead of this thing. Businesses cant close, at least the 95 pct of them but why ppl are still packing into bars and restaurants is beyond me.

The message I get is that by now people understand and have reconciled with both cases and deaths going up and are making decisions to gather whether its at public or non-public locations. Unfortunately, leaders can't regulate the latter so its a lose/lose on lives and business if things shut down.

Okay well that sucks but let's try to find whatever silver lining we can. Deaths are not rising even like they did with the last wave let alone the first wave.
We have to hope that continues of course. Last wave deaths peaked 7 days after cases peaked. We have not seen a rise in deaths at the same rate as last wave so fingers crossed. Last edited by petegz28; 11-06-2020 at 10:22 AM.. |

Ignoring, of course, logic stating the people most at risk from dying from influenza are also the people who have most likely already passed away from C-19 |

I knew a weird chick that had a ferret as a pet in college. Ferrets look a lot like minks. Should I be concerned?
It may have sneezed near me once. |
