Tried pan frying burritos. Turned out really well. The tortillas aren't CRUNCHY like a chip, but have a very nice texture.

I think an interesting poll thread would be how many times a week people eat out. We like too cook and rarely eat out. Mostly if people are in town.

Make the thread? Since my wife quit her job, we've eaten out exactly once since 8/26. It was Thursday, to celebrate her getting a job. |

Despite loving to cook, we eat out quite a bit for the following reasons:
- Unlimited and diverse food options right outside our door. Stuff I wouldn't even attempt to cook at home. - Our condo kitchen is much smaller than the one we had in KC. So the residual heat from cooking during the summer kind of sucks. Plus it's a little tight for the wife and I to be in there at the same time and we both like to cook together. - My grills/smoker are on a rooftop deck. The view is great but isn't real feasible as I have to go up a flight of stairs from the kitchen to get out there. - My work from home status. I spend all day here so I like to get out as much as possible. Most of the stuff we do cook at home is boring low carb stuff that isn't worth posting about. |

I eat out 5-7 times a week and have done so for the last 23 years or so. It's a very expensive lifestyle to say the least.
I eat at the restaurant's bar 99.9% of the time unless I am with someone who objects to eating at the bar and I prefer to eat a late lunch-early dinner around 3:30-4:30 or so to avoid the crowds. |
