Arrowhead addict
CBS sports

I don’t spend much time at any of them, just the highlights.

You can scroll facebook as an amalgam of all the tiktok/insta/twitter/youtube and that's enjoyable if you just remove almost all of your "friends" comments or interaction from it.
Facebook is just awful these days, between the ads and suggested sites and what not... seems like if I hide all the bullshit one day, it seems to significantly reduce the bullshit for a day or two, but have grown tired of sifting through it. Maybe I should look into more ad filters or something though, because uBlock Origin takes care of everything on reddit desktop.

And yeah, my reddit is mostly beer, bourbon, football, CBB, hockey, memes, Nature is Metal when I want to see a komodo dragon eat something whole, some IT and local AZ and KC things.

Some subs get pretty old after a while with reposts and such (no idea why I'm still following the Office sub), but I'm sufficiently addicted.

EarthCam.com has cool live cams at places that range from the extraordinary (e.g., Grand Canyon, top of the Statue of Liberty) to the mundane. Along those lines, I often like to check into Vatican Media Live on youtube for live feed of the St. Peter's Square (it also includes various events throughout the day, as well). I work from home, so it's kind of like a window.

Hiding shit on FB reduces the BS by exactly 0% for me. The very next day I am still seeing the exact same KU and OU suggested sites, with a sprinkling of ISU and WVU sites as well. To make it worse, it seems that they have done away with the ability to view your feed by most recent posts, or they have moved that ability some place else. It was bad enough when you had to select it every time you logged in, but not having the option at all, **** them. The arrogance of those people to think that they know better than me what I want to see in my feed is beyond ridiculous. It caused me to not see a post a couple of years ago telling that an old bar regular had passed away. A friend missed it as well and wished him happy birthday, resulting in an apologetic DM from someone for breaking the news to them after the fact. That friend is how I found out. It’s just stupid.

You and me both, Mr. GBS. I absolutely loathe that site. I've heard it called the wal-mart of internet forums and that's kinda close, but doesn't quite sum up how bad it is. It only sums up one angle of how bad it is.

It's so politically slanted that it's just a propaganda circle jerk. it's worse than facebook. I could go on for a long time why reddit is complete garbage.

I would recommend looking into substack. There is a lot of top-notch, real journalism still going on in the world but that's where you find it now. Certainly not CNN. CNN? What the hell!?

I still see the most recent option on desktop, but it's been gone a while on the app. They have the newer feeds thing, which would help some if it wasn't for seeing 3 suggested things and an ad per post.

I've actually unfriended people on FB in an attempt to see other people's updates, because I'll see some people who I never interact with several times and then miss several posts from people I routinely interact with... ****ing idiots.

Reddit does it so much better... every once in a while I see a thing that suggests other subs, and then I think they have the same for your year in review.
